Short abstract: Can or should 1Timothy 2:11-15 be redeemed for socio-political agendas that aim at a greater leadership involvement of women in church or society? An overview of Southern African scholarship on this topic, a philological examination of 1Timothy 2:11-15 and suggestion of solutions.
